Rebel Betty is an Afro-Boricua lyricist, DJ and multidisciplinary artist from Chicago.
Rebel’s music selections honor the African Diaspora,the Americas and oppressed communities while facilitating intergenerational spaces of joy and healing.
The goal is to empower the tradition of dance and storytelling through music and cultural production.
Rebel has opened for Las Cafeteras at Lincoln Hall and Thee Commons at Subterranean. She has also DJ’d on QUE4 Radio, Lumpen Radio as well as at Lincoln Hall, Beat Swap Meet at The Empty Bottle, Mijente, Cumbiasazo at The Double Door, Mole de Mayo in Chicago and has traveled to play in Puerto Rico and Mexico.
